Ode to Kirby (to the tune of Monty Python’s “Henry Kissinger” song)
Dear ol' Kirby, How I love ye. You're the vacuum of my dreams. With your rounded face, The way you suction space, You should join the Dyson Team. I know they say that you are very strange and short and round and pinkish but you've fantastic acting range! Dear ol' Kirby, How I love ye, And wish that you were real!
Dear ol' Kirby, How I love ye. You're so chubby and so neat. With your Beam hat, or your Fighter cap, You just make my life complete. The people who feel like I do are too few. But you're much cuter than Mario, Yet less annoying than Pikachu. Dear ol' Kirby, How I love ye, And wish that you were real!
Yes, it's dangerous when I get bored...

Hey Sean, wow, I hadn't seen the release date. The preview made it sound like it was deep in development. I hope they have some kind of demo for it.
Anyways, on a strangely similar note, there is this EVE Online 14-day free trial. I've been wondering about this game, but never got into it because they never had any kind of demo. I haven't heard any opinions from people I know despite asking. I haven't tried it, yet, so I don't have an opinion. However, now there is possibility with this option.
I've downloaded the client, but I won't think about signing up until the weekend when I might have time.
I guess it makes sense for them to do something like this with X3 threatening... maybe. (Is X3 even an MMOG?) I don't know when the 14-day trial thing started.
Viva space! (heh.) It's been so long since I've seen anything futuristic-space-related what with all this fantasy ...stuff. (I still don't think Westerns count as "space".)
Ugh, cats are fighting outside. >_O

X3 is just a single player game. No demo at the moment but these days, if you give it enough time one may show up. Or you can at least wait for a review and see what the consensus is.
I've done a bit of reading about EVE online. Probably the most interesting thing was about a giant scam someone ran involving forming a corporation to afford the blueprints for a battleship. The founder then ran off with all the contributers money. Millions and millions of credits. No idea if it's true or not. Seems like you need to grind a bit to gain enough credits to really do what you want, but otherwise seems interesting. Warp points, trading, pirating, mining, shipbuilding and customatization and all that fun stuff. Probably one of those things I could get into, but not without friends and the time committment would probably be killer... and I've still got FFXI and WoW subscriptions going at the moment. =P

Whoa.
I wish I knew when this was available. Yeah, it's not as big (in every sense of the word) as the new ipods, but it still has video.
edit: and i just learned that it uses OLED instead of the iPod's TFT with LED backlight. (Thanks, Dave! :3)
