Yes, this was the actual jist of a conversation I had on guild chat this weekend on World of Warcraft =/ The full details of it are on my livejournal but the short rundown is pretty simple. He was trying to be funny but doesn't realize that any kind of stereotyping is bad. It's like he was saying, "But I think asians are good at math! What's wrong with that? I'm not insulting them!" Arg. Idiot. I think what bugged me the most about his statements were the arguments itself. He was saying that he's "studied" buddhism (he spelled it bhuddim. Great.) and he "knows" that 90% of asia is bhuddist... therefore, he's right when he says that the night elf religion mirrors asian culture. I'm sorry, that doesn't compute. >_< Oh well, life goes on. I have a horsey.

I wouldn't believe that ass-pulled-percentage 90% of Asia is Buddhist. A very large part is Muslim. Even more so if you consider *ALL* of Asia--everything except Europe and Africa in that hemisphere (and Australia, of course). I'm not sure if I would think he's being "racist". I think he's making wide-leaping generalizations so that his petty little brain can encompass the complexity that is WoW. *rolls eyes* (Yes, sarcasm on that last part, too.) Do you think Russians and Irish feel the same as you do about his comments? If so, then that might really be racist... but with my own "racist" thinking, I think people from those two races would just laugh him off as being a moron. ^_~ (I hold those 2 races among several others in high esteem, btw.) I say, shun him or boot him out of the guild and dismiss him as a lunatic. He isn't worth anyone's time. But if you must, don't try to prove him wrong on that one point; instead, destroy his overall credibility. Then again, I'm not in a guild, nor am I even in WoW. ^_~ (Wow, such bigotry I express. o_O)

I love double posting! Yay! They're making a Papillion Rose anime! There should be a raw out for Paradise Kiss. I need coffee. I also need a couple thousand so I can buy the rights to the rest of the Aria Manga and the YKK manga. Yes indeedy.
