Oh, it was M$, definitely. I've loved Seattle for years, and I think if the job had been one that didn't give me the willies, then I would have been thrilled.
Seattle is pretty laid back (except for the massive amounts of coffee everywhere...). It's got some of the sprawl like you see in the Bay Area, but it's much more suburban than urban. There are trees everywhere, and I've always enjoyed being up there, since it's just so darn pleasant.
Not as much smog that I've ever seen, but still a good amount of traffic, comparable to SJ. Plenty of activity. It doesn't get too warm in the summer (mid to upper 80's at the highest I can remember), but it doesn't rain as much as people think come summertime either. It's beautiful.
The prices are a bit cheaper than the Bay Area, but more expensive than the rest of the country (though I got to talking housing prices with my uncle, and he was saying how expensive things were getting, and I was trying very hard not to snicker). I like it a lot. I'm going to try and convince Sean to join me for a trip this summer, to visit our relatives, and relax. There's good wineries popping up, and great skiing come winter time (unless they have another freak winter like this one, where they get almost no rain at all. L.A. got more rain than they did this year, and so did San Jose O_o).
Wow... I've blabbed on, haven't I... O_o Oh well, suffice to say, I like it up there. ^_^
