I've never laughed so hard. Speaking of which Spring Break is almost here. Not much R&R for me however. Just more drawing. I'm gonna be preparing for the IDSA Western District Conference in Vancouver, Canada so I can show professionals my portfolio so they can tell me how much I suck. I originally didn't intend to go but the president of the IDSA SJSU student chapter convinced me to go because he told me that I drew better than most of the seniors in the ID program. I guess I draw ok. Years of drawing on and off has given me shakey confidence in my ability. However recently I've noticed after joining the ID program here at SJSU I have never worked so hard and passionately than I did before. Maybe I finally found my niche. That or I'm just worried about the fact that I'm 28 going back to school and it may take me more than a few years to finish the program. It's funny. I came here to purge everything that was of Cogswell and I see little bits of Cogswell popping up here and there. I saw a flyer for the drawing salon at Cogswell and I also met a fellow Cogswell graduate who also shared the same bitterness I have. He did said things have gotten a bit better as far as instructors but I'm still so bitter I refuse to believe it. I feel bad because one of my co-worker that I worked with at Vis-a-vis Inc. who got laid off around the same time I did is teaching at Cogswell and he's a great artist. Maybe that was what got a bit better at Cogswell. I should pay him a visit. But then I wouldn't want to go back to Cogswell to see him. But I just might have to. *SHUDDER* Oh well.
