December 17, 2003 - Wednesday

Off to watch LOTR:ROTK tonight! Wish me luck! It clocks in at 201 minutes... 3 1/3 hours.

Aaaand... one more time!!! Round about half past four in the morning, here at work. I have, once again, come in after watching the epic conclusion to that fun fantasy adventure through middle earth. I'm stupid/freaky/insane, blah, blah, blah you probably know the routine by now... My opinion of the movie is roughly the same as my opinion of the Two Towers theatrical release. It was good, but I think I will like the extended edtion better... no matter how bladder bustingly long it ends up being. The ending felt rather odd in terms of closure and balance and I'm hoping that gets cleaned up a bit. The past two weekend have put me in theaters to watch the special theatrical release of the extended edition versions of Fellowship and Two Towers. Both of which, I enjoyed. Two Towers extended feels more complete and paces better than the original theatrical release as far as I'm concerned. I guess my tradition is about done since the third movie is complete. Unless some other interesting event comes along... =]

Ah, but my brother's insanity is what makes him fun. ^^ Yes, Return of the King was fantastic. Yes, the extended edition will be better (4 hours long!) Yes, I just woke up a half hour ago, and haven't done much since. ^^ Eh, that's what days off from work are for. ^^

Woo! I survived! Was in line with my friends from, hrm, 7pm until 10pm, then waited until 12:25am to actually watch the advertisements, trailers, and then finally the movie! Got out roughly 4:30am. Woke up today fairly refreshed at 10:00am. Anyone looking to hire a SQA? I've three years experience at HP, I'm somewhere in the entry level to junior category, but easily groomable to upper level and senior! You know how to contact me. And a link to a hot, single, New Mexico girl who's looking to become famous. At least this is my contribution. It's up to the rest of you freaks/fans to carry through : )

December 18, 2003 - Thursday

Mmmm.... Narcolepsy.... Got a brief idea of what it's like yesterday. Round about hour 36 from my last sleeping moment, I was playing Final Fantasy XI (I'm on the new Asura server by the way). Wasn't feeling too bad, a bit tired, but not sleepy. Suddenly I blink my eyes and realized I'd suddenly, and without intention, warning, or even closing my eyes (that I can remember at least), fallen asleep for a couple seconds. Guess my body was trying to ambush me with rest. It was an interesting experience.
