I've arrived in Switzerland, and I'm still in one piece. My butt hated the long plane flight though. It's still kinda numb... Anyway, to keep this short, it's absolutely beautiful here, and I'm getting flashbacks to growing up in Holland. It's like finding your childhood again. Time for another security alert! Microsoft has released a new patch for IE for a new vulnerability, read it at News.com. The patch closes a hole wherein a malicious web page or html email could attack a vulnerable (read all people with Explorer) machine. More detail from MS along with a patch. I'm patched, are you? Oh, and I found this article about how the MSBlaster virus/work took down the Ohio Davis-Besse nuclear power plant's Safety Parameter Display System for 5 hours... scary. Of similar interest is an article where a virus disabled a train system's network in the Washington DC/Baltimore area... woo, go Microsoft, go people who use Microsoft in business critical situations, and woo people who don't properly secure their systems and networks...
