August 29, 2005 - Monday

Man, what a busy weekend. It started off on Friday when I lost a filling during lunch time =/ I hadn't gotten a dentist up to that point but when my filling came out, it really didn't matter. My criteria for finding a dentist became : 1) A person who's open weekends 2) A person near my house. So, a bit of calling later, I found a nice dentist office who fit me in Friday afternoon at 2, an hour after my filling came out! I was patched up and good to go and they were very kind and gentle. Saturday, I headed north to Denton... Nat's old stomping grounds. I was looking for a miniature figure store there since no where else I could find had putty. All they had were epoxy putties, which I am deathly allergic to. Turns out that store is closed, but I found a hobby store up there that had putty, so I bought 2 tubes. We also had some yummy cajun food and went home after a short stint to the bookstore... where I accidentally smacked my head against a sign post because I was too preoccupied with watching the ground. It was raining and I was attempting not to step in a puddle. Sunday, I helped some friends move some heavy furniture. Now I am quite tired. My legs did a lot of work, akin to skiing. There are muscles I didn't know I had that are now sore. At one point, we were moving a washing machine up a flight of stairs when it slipped off the dolly. I braced it with my leg long enough for everyone to get clear, at which point, I let it slide down the stairs. My hip muscle on that side is rather sore now but the washer didn't take any damage, that I could see. After we tied the washer to the dolly, we eventually got it up the stairs. ^_^ So you may be asking yourself why you are looking at another fuzzy cat today, and that is why. I am tired. And cats are cute.

Today, when I was trying to figure out what to do in the comic, it occurred to me that part of my mental block is because I don't have my friends to feed ideas from anymore. They're all... 1700 miles away and though I love them all dearly, it's hard to have comic rebounding when I don't communicate with them very often. So, I was faced with a dilemma. I either quit the comic... or find new funny. I didn't wanna quit the comic... I spent many years working on it and I like it far too much. So, instead, I shall give it a face lift. Now that convention season is over (barring WoW of course) I'm gonna be spending time adding characters that are closer to me in real life and revamping the look and feel of the comic. Nothing drastic though. I am afterall, lazy. ^_^ I've been considering closing Faito for some time now... it's down to two operators now and I don't have time to respond to it as often as I have. Either I close it or screen new operators... but the number of calls has drastically dropped to the point where I think it's time to retire it for a bit. I would like everyone's thoughts though.
