Thanks for the happy birthday wishes! I had a good beef filled birthday =} Thanks to all the Nekobox fans who happened to look for me at the con too =O.o= I guess I didn't mention I wasn't going to sell stuff, I was going with Funimation to help Nats out =}
I guess the cats out of the bag too. I won't be doing my own art stuff (unless I happen to find random resources to do so) at cons... if I go to a con, it'll be for fun and to help Nats out. I'm in Texas and all my sales stuff in in California still; aside from the fact I can't afford dealer tables this year =}
I dub Acen 2004 "Injurycon". I'm not saying it was a bad con... far from it... I had a wonderful con experience. Just certain events during, before, and after the con caused me injury... and it's starting to pile up. Let's take a tally.
1 - A few days before the con, in order to make my arm, I had to make myself a duct tape form. While being cut out from the form, my arm was cut in a couple places.
2 - Numerous hot glue incidents creating the arm.
3 - cardboard papercut on a freaking cereal box for breakfast Thursday morning. Geez.
4 - Papercut on my finger rolling posters for Funimation
5 - Bumped my head hard enough to bleed while I went behind the projection screen to check the electricity... the plug was flaky and needed to be tweaked. I smacked my head against the power box.
6 - Sore arms from heavy object carrying.
7 - Blistered thumbs from setting up the projection screen.
8 - Cold.
9 - Head pressure since my sinuses are blocked from the airplane landing and my cold. I can't hear out of my left ear right now too =/ It'll go away... it's happened before. I probably won't sleep to well though.
So this is one of a handful of Winry's we saw at Acen. We saw a lot of Eds from Full Metal Alchemist though I am proud to say I was the only one with the automail. =} I still have to make his belt though. This is a cute little photo that Nats took for "work" since FMA is now a Funimation title. ^_^
I'm sorry if I don't know your name Winry-chan cosplayer! If this is you, feel free to e-mail me =} I never caught your name.

I forgot to mention some of the highlights of my con =} Aside from hanging out with Travis again, this year, not only did I impress the american voice actor for Ed with my arm... I actually impressed both the japanese liason for Square Enix AND some of the creators of ROD with my paper arm! Hee hee. Now if they do another season of ROD TV and put in a guy who makes armor with paper and he happens to be a long haired chinese guy, I wonder if it'll be because of me? ^_~

Short bit cuz I'm at work. ^_^
Acen was sooo much fun! It's always been one of my favorite conventions ever since the very first one. But yeah, when he brought 2 of the men that worked on R.O.D by...I did the usual fangirling, then they both started poking at the arm and making impressed noises...I didn't realize it after I had told our "boss" (well that's what I consider him, since he's our contact with Japan for this series) "Tell them he made it in 2 DAYS...out of PAPER!" Both men went "Great! Great!"
After that Young pointed out that I had just told the R.O.D guys...that the armor was made from PAPER. XD XD
and.... PINKY:ST!!! ACen really IS the best!!!! XD

True sweat and blood yo. Young's earning his props for his mad cosplay skillz.
Other than that I got a C+ on my paper. Next time I gotta be careful of the people I work with. Group projects can suck sometime. Time for Ho Hos.
