June 7, 2002 - Friday

well here we are, the end of the week. I just wanted to take a brief moment to say how much I enjoyed doing this weeks filler art. And I want to thank Louis, young and nats and of course the rest of the nekobox gumi for letting me have my visual way! Thanks, you've all been real sports and i hope you all had at least a smile or a chuckle from this weeks madness. you've obviously noticed the theme of this week has been book covers! And I used various inspirations from my old lancer edition copies of Conan to a mixture of Archie comics, dark horse and just old pulps I keep around the house.. so when it came time to figure out Fridays last piece .. I of course turned to my collection of comics for inspiration and came up with this.. it just seemed the right thing to do! I know messing with something sacred like ahh my goddess is almost tantamount to otaku treason, but honestly, it's my favorite manga and my favorite artist Kosuke Fujishima. it just seemed the right thing to do! I couldn't think of a better way to end my stint then doing a homage to nekobox AND Ahh my Goddess. I also thought it would be more fun to take an existing cover then try and create something new. Well I hope you can forgive me the liberties I took. So like I got a call from the staffing agency and they told me the job I was applying for turned me down cause I was over qualified. Now I just wanna know.....HOW THE @#?! DOES SOMEONE OVERQUALIFY FOR A GAME TESTING JOB!?!?! GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

Yay! I'm in Piro's rant on MT! Okay, I'll try not to make it more of a big deal than it is, but that made my day today... (it'd make my day even more if my overdue package would arrive today, ugh...) Anyways, I went to A-kon last weekend, chatted with him, showed him Eternal Fighter Zero (thanks Suichi for the pointer!) and showed him a bit of Mahou Yuugi 2D (okay, since the series is over, the link takes you to their BBS). That's it-nano! =)
