May 23, 2005 - Monday

I'd like to thank everyone for the comics last week, that was the best birthday gift I've ever had =} Now, for the bad news... at this point, I don't think I can finish my Hoihoi-san costume for Fanime or Akon =;_;= The head is "done" more or less... I have her ears to make and her antenna to build but aside from those, I still have to make everything else - the gloves, boots and dress. I've spent a lot of time and money on this and I guess I'm just gonna have to pull a Half Life 2 and say "it'll be finished when it's done." Or was that Duke Nukem? Eep! Anyway, I don't wanna rush it and mess up at this point. I'm also still looking for better alternatives because the head is rather... unstable at this point. Ah, oh well. Me and my difficult projects. Posted today is a picture of the piece I sent to California for the Phantom Gallery but did not arrive =/ Hopefully it will arrive within the next 3 days so I can put it up when I'm at Fanime.

May 24, 2005 - Tuesday

Came home today to find that my internet connection got dropped. Actually it's been like that for quite awhile I would come home or something and like the connection would just drop. I'm with SBCglobal. Not sure if that's the problem. But today I think it's my router. Now I can't even access the setup screen for the router. So now I have the modem hooked directly to my computer as I'm typing this message. Tomorrow I'm gonna go get a new router and this time I'm not buying Linksys. I think I heard somewhere that they make crappy ass routers and switches. I think I'm gonna get some from Dlink or Netgear unless someone can convince me otherwise. My sister has a Dlink router and she hasn't had any drop connections. Or maybe it's just my luck. Or maybe someone out there or some organization has been monitoring my pr0n downloads and thinks I'm downloadin' too much pr0n. If it's the router which I hope it is, I'm gonna take my fathers sledge hammer and smash my old one into bits.

Did you try resetting the router? Or restoring it to all factory default settings? I think if you hold down the reset button for 10 seconds it does that (don't quite remember the exact procedure for linksys). This has helped with some of my router problems in the past.

I tried the reset button thing and nothing happened. It's weird. The power LED on the router just keeps on blinking in increments. Not sure what that means. Anyway, I'm gonna head over on to Fry's and get a new router. Oh well. Smashy washy!
