Such an odd world we live in.
Early this morning, as the sun rose, the birds started chirping.
Oddly, they sounded like car alarms.
Now, I know this sounds odd, but I know they weren't actual car alarms going off... just a single bird was chirping a very odd pattern of sounds which sounded like a car alarm... I was tempted to run downstairs and record it on my MP3 player but I was lazy ^_^
It went something like this:
Chirp chirp chirp chirp... vweeet vweeet vweeet vweet... tw-eeet tw-eeet tw-eeet tw-eeet... chi-oop chi-oop... *repeat*
I wonder if birds are now using man-made sounds as templates for their songs? I mean, a long time ago, I heard a bird that sounded a lot like a telephone and I've also heard birds that sound like pagers and cell phone rings. I wonder if birds are now emulating human sounds because they're what permeat the air and they don't know it's not a bird call?
Bird lovers... do you know?
