So.. this weekend was Renfaire.. actually, it's hard to explain.. but it was.. tiring. It moved in location and normally, it's a biiig circle, so you keep going one direction long enough, you get to the beginning.
This year, it was this huge convoluted Z.
Needless to say, it was very difficult walking around in it.
Anyway, Sunday evening, I hung out with Cliff, who I met through E and Real Life-gumi. We talked. He informed me Rockman Zero was out (damn him!) and I just had to buy it.
While I was out, a group of nice fellows from "Soma", a local band here, approached us and asked if we could visit their site. I thought I'd one up them and link them since they seemed so nice. I haven't heard their music yet, but I'd love to sometime in the future =}
Check them out at Soma. Sign in and tell them I said hi =}

Okay, I figure I need to do this.
Donate money to Nekobox! Feed hungry kitties!
Okay, so we realy don't need it for food, but we do want to make Nekobox bigger and better, and help pay for bandwidth, and other things.
The store is already online, and we've gotten one donation already. The way it works is, donate $7 and get any of the 8.5x11 prints, donate $12 and get a 11x17" print. Not all prints are available in all sizes. If you click on a picture, you'll see what size prints are available.
Young will sign it and ship it to you in a mailing tube; shipping and handling is already included in the $7 or $12 price.
Please consider ordering a print if you like your daily dose of Nekobox; it'll help defray the considerable bandwidth costs and ensure more tangential and nonlinear humor, as well as a new project Young is starting, Otherworld, a more traditional linear story in comic form.
Thanks!

If I recall correctly, way back when the Ren Faire was in Marin County, the shape of it was a sort of stunted Y. It was a curving line with a sort of branch in the middle.
I'm guessing the shape of the Faire is pretty dependent on where they hold it.
And now a beer related note.
Picked up a party pig at Rock Bottom Brewery on Saturday. It's like a recyclable/disposable mini-keg for around 25 bucks. 2.5 gallons of Raccoon Red Ale now sit in my fridge. Mmmm... Beery goodness...
Too bad they can't put the Stillwater Stout in one of these things (they can't even put the stuff in pitchers at the restaurant, carbonation issues). If they did, some friends of mine would be over at my place everday to help me suck the thing dry. =]
