If you're wondering what the holdup in getting the hosted pages back online... until this weekend I didn't have enough power strips!
Hehehee ^^;
Anyway, a small public service announcement. Encrypted zip file worms are being spread. If you get something like this:
I don't bite, weah!
..btw, "74386" is a password for archive
With an attached zipfile, it's a virus.

Really? Is it a virus from you? :3
|
[^A-sama^] - 2:46 PM PST |
Oh, did I send you one?
It was an accident.
Actually, what prompted me to post this was that I got sent one from e, of all people.
I don't think she sent it, either, but that one of our fine readers got infected, and it used their IE cache to send out more copies. That, or e really is infected.
Me, the only way I can send out this virus is if I manually email it to people :D

'twasn't me, that's for sure.
I've gotten one from Sean, actually. ^^
My work gets infested with the e-mails, but we delete them on sight.

Here's another email worm, delivered in a clever way. I just got it, but my Norton Antivirus didn't seem to catch it even tho it's updated as of today.
http://us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/default.asp?id=description&virus_k=101119
It lodges itself as a mime encoded scr (screensaver) within the body of the mail, but doesn't register as an attachment. If you click on the link that looks like a link to your web-based email, it actually links to the encoded stealth-attachment, decodes, and runs that instead. Body of the text message I received looks like this:
If the message will not displayed automatically, follow the link to read the delivered message.
Received message is available at: <looks like a link to your mailbox with sessionid number, but the actual link decodes the attachment>
Why do all these virus and spam emails use such obviously bad grammar? Bad spelling I understand to get around filters, but why bad grammar?

We should be back online tomorrow sometime, YAY!!! So Young will be back to updating comics and general whatnot.
And on the off chance that someone actually sent me an email via my nekobox account...I haven't been able to check it in a little over a week, O_o.
Ummm that's it really...just another update to let you know that soon you'll be once again basking in the sweetsweet Youngarts. ^_^/~

Indeed! And I will lay off the Singaporean hate. From now on I will only hate Antarcticans.

New challenges have entered my world. I fight them as they come. I will not give up. But it has taken a toll. I must apologize to those whom I have not been able to spend time with lately. It is clear to me now, that this last lap is to be my most challenging time. I will have many battles to fight, and they will not be taken lightly.
You are all in my heart as I fight this torment. Thank you for your support. And may grace be with you all upon the times when challenge comes to your path.
[the part of jon tonight will be played by a tall, dark, vampiric man kneeling down beside a ledge on a gothic tower looking off in a raging storm.]

Saaaaayyyyy....is that the codine talkin'? Well, just as when Frodo had Aragorn's sword, Gimli's axe, and Legolas' arrow, you Jon will have my nunchakus! May they swing and knock out the forces of evil and the stupid bitchy ass Marketing Associate people. I wanna see more Tao dude.
Meanwhile, back at head quarters: http://www.suburban-trunkmonkey.com/
