Star Wars and Alien are both Sci-Fi movies, but they're not on the same level of bloodiness. And John Carpenter's The Thing has been known to give grown men nightmares, but it's Sci-Fi, too. I bet I could recommend some stuff, but unless you can prove you're 18, I doubt you could get ahold of it, unless your parents are monumentally stupid.
