| IDEAs ruined my life!! T^T |
I recently took this test in school to "help me" find out what I WANT to do for a living.
All this time, I've been writing stories and working on becoming a columnist or a novelist.
The test results say I wouldn't like to be one because I don't like poetry as much.
HELP! I've wasted 5 years of my life by devoting it to writing!

There's no such thing as a "waste" of life! Sometimes, there can be things you can do better with your time... like helping the homeless instead of sitting around smoking crack.
Now, test results are merely just guides. They should, in no way, ever dictate how you should live! If you like writing, no matter how good or bad you are... you should keep doing it! If you stopped doing it because other people said it wasn't what you should do, you wouldn't be true to yourself and you'd just end up becoming what other people shape you into.

Some people are born with aptitude... others learn it from experience or strive for excellence through passion! As long as you do what your heart tells you is right, you cannot be steered wrong. Look at the test again and try to see if it can help guide your future... it says you don't like poetry. That doesn't mean you can't become a columnist or novelist! It just means you can't become a poet.

Hmm, that is true, but how they put it was: If you don't like poetry, you automatically can't write, and I was somewhat grief stricken.

That's as silly as saying that if a theoretical person was an android, they wouldn't have a soul or could feel love or something... so silly, right? Ha ha ha ha ha.
