Krazee_Vash cant do anything right no matter what I do I can't seem to make my dad proud of who I am. Its like I can never be good enough. I'm at my wits end. Please help!! Haibane Reki Well...you're absolutely right. No matter what you do, you can't make your dad proud of who you are. He's going to have to decide whether to be proud of you or not on his own. The sooner you come to realize this, the sooner you'll get a few of your wits back and not be at the end of them. Of course, on your side, you can try to make it easier for him by being the best "you" you can. But whether that is "good enough" or not is up to him. That's called starting a fight, not starting a conversation. Maybe something more along the lines of, "You know, Dad, I care about what you think of me. I've tried to live my life well...[Or maybe: I know I've made some mistakes...] but I'd like to know that you're proud of me." But just know going into the conversation, you can't make him be proud of you, no matter what you do. The best you can do is do your best, and try to help him understand you.
