is there
is there a cure for the love of donuts? I just can't get enough of them. Donuts, and more donuts, chocolate, powder, crumb, sprinkles, sigh. The truth is that its starting to compete with my love for ice cream. *Sigh*

If you truly wanted such a thing, I suppose that your love for donuts could be "cured."

It would likely require some form of aversion therapy. By associating something negative with donuts, then your desire for them would be reduced, if not eliminated. In the extreme, such therapy can condition the patient to have a psychosomatic physical response (e.g. pain or nausea) to the presence of the item conditioned against.

One form conditions the patient by supplying a negative stimulus (i.e. pain) when they are shown / given the thing to be conditioned against. For example, being given an electric shock every time you reach for a donut, until you instinctively associate reaching for a donut with pain.

Another form of aversion conditioning simply overloads the patient with the stimulus to build up an aversion. For example, it would be to eat several dozen donuts in one sitting...forcing the patient to eat donuts well past their ability to enjoy them, or even the point of nausia. It both deals with the patient's desire for the stimulus and creates an unpleasant experience for them to associate with it.

If we are talking about Krispy Kreme Donuts, however, this latter tactic may fail, as there appears no upper limit on their injestion short of sugar-induced coma.
