Alright. A friend of mine has recently gone out with a girl a few times. Nothing to serious happened it was more like hanging out. He's only had one serious girlfriend before. He wants to know a good way to broach the subject of a relationship. This way he can either start to move on or get closer to her.

I dunno... sometimes the most direct way is the easiest? I mean... if he likes her, the best way to find out if she likes him is to just ask. Don't try to set up any cheesy romantic settings involving wine and candles or anything... just while they're hanging out sometime, maybe he could try just saying something like, "You know, I really like you and I was wondering if you would be my girlfriend."

Then again, most people know when another person is interested in them... if they're interested, you usually already know. They are either as afraid as you are or are waiting for you to make the first move. I dunno, it's really hard to say what the best way to approach the subject is. It depends on the situation.

You could always try to create a situation when he corners the girl where he has the potential to see the girl in very little clothing and possibly accidentally obtain one of the girl's underpants at which point, the girl will run off crying while spouting both lines of hate and love. Then you'll know for sure if she likes him because...

Maybe that isn't such a good idea after all....

Uh... I guess what Shinobu-chan is trying to say is that everyone has their own way of forming a relationship and I guess the best way is to do it honestly and from the heart. If this friend really wants the relationship to work, they have to put whatever they feel into starting it and in the end, it'll work out if it's meant to.
