| Animal Farm |
| I watched the Animal Farm movie in class today, and despite the horrid political symbolism and stuff, I could help but let out a squeal for the cute animals, is that okay?

"Horrid political symbolism"? I do so hope your teacher did instruct you that the whole point of the novel was Orwell's decrying, through allegory, the distopia that had been created in the Soviet Communist system. One where, as he chose to put it, "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others."
As for it being okay to squeal for cute animals...I suppose it depends on the age of your class. Your grade-school must be quite advanced to be letting you take on Animal Farm.

Better than the deep allegorical symbolism behind Pokemon nyo. That could make your head spin for ages nyo!

You mean the fact that Pokemon is refrenced to ancient Romans? How they use the gladiator battles as a basis of pokemon battles. Or did I miss.
And sorry, when I meant "horrid political symbolism" I mean Old Major falling from the barn and crashing onto the wet ground with a sickening thud.

My appologies, then. Your question sounded to me like you were upset that your movie about cute barnyard animals had been spoilt by interjecting political allegory.
I can imagine that scene being rather unpleasant, since I have not seen it for myself.
Then again, when the early "power-to-the-people" socialists were purged by Stalin and his "dictatorship-of-the-proletariat," it was not very pretty either.

Yes very true, the whole executions of the nay-sayers was horrible, but effective in any case. You should watch the movie, it twists the story a bit, but the joke at the very end is wonderful.
"THE CLINTONS!!"
