Part of being a good fighter means knowing when it's necessary to fight and when it's not. By saving your energies to fight by avoiding a fight when not necessary, it gives you the energy needed to fight the difficult fights.

Vegeta has never been nor will ever be my enemy. If he was, I'd find a way to defeat him. Until then, I don't need to.
