Ugh Changing location
Hey all, I am currently being sent over to the other side of my country on a posting
and Don't have a great like of where I am going.

Can you suggest any measures I can undertake in order to speed up the whole 'getting used to a new place' process?

Well, when you go someplace new, you don't have to 'get used to' it right away. It's good to take things relatively slowly. Just enjoy the new experience, even if you don't like it, and you'll probably find things about your new posting that you like.

It also doesn't hurt to bring some of your own life with you. Bring some relics of your current life or your past life... something to remind you of your home or your family. Whenever you feel like you're out of place in this new place, you can use your past to ground you in the present.
