| Why? |
riku says "Everyone's got to have something to complain about!"
Why? Why does everyone have to have something to complain about. Why not, instead of complaining - think positively?

Hunh...I know I can't speak for Riku, but maybe it's just a matter of interpretation. Sure, everybody has something to complain about. It doesn't mean that they do.
This isn't a perfect world with perfect people all over the place, so things are going wrong all the time. And we should cut people some slack if they find things are getting to be too much for them to deal with and have to vent a bit.

On the other hand, I do agree with your sentiment, as I see it.
People shouldn't just complain, especially when it is something that they can do something about.
Obsessing over the bad things you can't change, doesn't do anybody any good, either.
So, there are unhealthy frustrations, just as there are healthy ones. You try to avoid the unhealthy ones, and live with the normal ones, and do the best you can.
That's all any of us can do anyway.

It's not that I think people shouldn't vent, I think maybe I am currently surrounded who do nothing but vent. All the time. And it bugs me. I vent, because I have more than my fair share of pent up anger at the moment. Very unhealthy, I guess, but there you have it. But it just seems like people do nothing but whine lately. You guys get all these questions, So I'm sure you see the whiniest of the whiney, but...I don't know...the willingness to whine while doing nothing to improve yourself seems to have increased recently. Or is that just my persepctive - or possibly just my friends?

I wonder if it has anything to do with television? A lot of people are getting lazy and stupid because they do nothing to motivate themselves all day. They have nothing in their lives to work for except to complain to others and never try to better themselves because they don't know how.

|
I guess some people just need to go out and get a life.

Thats a noble suggestion, Gryphon-san. In an ideal world, we'd all think positive. It makes us better human beings. But, we're human. We are by nature, imperfect. Even in the most positive person, there will be moments of self doubt, pessimism and laziness. What's ideal, and possible, is a healthy balance of both negative and positive. Without the negative, we cannot appreciate the positive because we'd have nothing to compare it to.

That's right, Gryphon! There needs to be more happiness spread around -su! That's what we have angels like me for!

Unfortunately, there are so many unhappy people in the world, the angels are constantly backlogged -su. We try our best (even if we're only training) anyway -su!
