Practical knowledge
Once opened, how long can Spam remain edible? Properly refrigerated, that is.

Given its high salt and preservative content, probably somewhat longer than your standard meat, but not indefinitely. I'd give it a few weeks, tops, but please do not use that vague guestimate as a hard and fast rule. Eat at your own risk.

Worse comes to worse, never hesitate to utilize the tried and true "sniff test." If it doesn't smell fresh, don't eat it, and watch for non-SPAM-like coloration.

*whew* All right, so in an emergency, I do have a food supply. Good.

...Though, frankly, I'm surprised you didn't say "eat at your own risk" about fresh Spam.

Well...I meant it in general. While disclaimers exist elsewhere, it never hurts to caveat yourself out of trouble.

I have no information as to whether you suffer from high blood pressure or other cardiovascular ailment, so I could not say if SPAM is contraindicated.
