| A lack of motivation... |
Ever since becoming unemployed, I've found my time increased, and I thought I would practice my instruments more. However, even though I have several musical instruments I want to practice, I'm finding it difficult to sit down to play them.
Is there anything I can do to help myself along? It's not as if I don't have the time, after all.

Being motivated can only carry you so far... you have to set goals for yourself. With goals, you can see your dreams come true a step at a time!
You have two options though. You can set reasonable goals for yourself and move a step at a time closer to them. You'll more than likely reach a reasonable goal at a reasonable time.
Or! You can set yourself an unreasonable goal... like building a raft to visit other worlds! The more inreasonable it is yet the more outstanding the possible outcome, the harder you'll try. Especially if it's something that fills your heart!

So try setting yourself a reasonable goal... like... find music and learn to play it in a month with the instruments without the sheets or something. Then set yourself an unreasonable goal! Like... write a symphony with all your instruments and learn to play all the parts yourself!

Hrm, you know, in the course of my previous life, I'd forgotten all about the idea of setting personal goals.
Thank you, I needed that shot in the arm. I think I'll make some good goals for myself and aim for them.
