I want to start a web comic
I want to start a web comic, and I would like some advice on as to how to go about doing that.

Well, it would probably be best to start off by reading a lot of stories and finding a story in your heart that you want expressed in the form of comics on the web.

Then, start planning! It sounds simple, but it's really quite complicated to write a comic 'on the fly'. Planning, even a little, can help a long way. Ano.. it's probably best to also sketch out all the characters you want to use and the clothes they'll probably wear. This process also usually helps define more of the story.

Once you have most of your planning done, the hardest part is ahead of you.. being patient enough to draw what you need to draw. Sometimes, life gets ahead of you and you have to put the pencil and paper down to tend to real life... you'll just have to accept it and continue when you get a chance. But don't give up! Remember that your comic may never get any readers... but you should always do it because you love it more than anything else in the world!

Looking cute!

My advice would be to be prepared financially to pay for hosting, should your comic become popular. Very many of those who run webcomics, eventually have troubles paying for the extra bandwidth they didn't expect to use. And this can happen to you more than once. Nekobox was last estimated to need $100 a MONTH in hosting costs. A normal website could be bought for about that, for a full year depending on the package and hosting provider.
