Re: Vampire Anime
Just thought I'd make another suggestion. Hellsing is a really incredible anime series from what I've seen so far. (Although I must admit that keep hearing people online say that the last volume is a letdown.) Some of the characters just have this bizarre, bent appearance, they do some great stuff with shadows, and the soundtrack is definately worth hearing too. Also, you mentioned the Vampire Princess Miyu TV series; I saw the first tape, and with the exception of the first episode, it was just terrible in my opinion. Considering that you recommended it, would you say that it gets any better later on?

As with all opinions, and cars, "Your mileage may vary."

You are welcome to your own opinions.

I have only seen the early episodes of the Miyu TV series, and none of Hellsing. Friends of mine have recommended both series.

I don't know how to answer your question regarding whether it "gets any better." That would depend rather strictly on what you felt was bad about it, and what you think would make it better. What you may think was bad about it, I may have liked, and if there were more or less of that in the later episodes, our opinions would change in different directions.

One thing I found notable regarding the series, which might put some viewers off the series, is how morally ambiguous Miyu is. I would easily declare her the protagonist of the series, but as to whether she is a "hero"...I don't think I would go near that far. She is her own character and acts true to that. I can't say much more, but then I wouldn't ask for more of any character.
